On July 7, 1993, Mia Zapata, lead singer of punk band The Gits, was brutally beaten, raped and murdered. A documentary has been made celebrating her life and her work with The Gits. Its official web site is here: www.thegitsmovie.com
Screenings of the documentary have been booked across the country, and it will be playing at the Pioneer Theater in NYC from July 4-July 10. On July 4 and 5, there will be a Q&A after the film showing with director Kerri O'Kane and producer Jessica Bender - they are amazing, you don't want to miss it

So, I am transferring and have a Hayes apartment for Fall 07/Spring 08 to get rid of! ha.

so, i woke up at 9:50AM all ready to buy my sonic youth tickets that went on sale at 10AM. phil warned me i probably wouldnt get them, since cbgb is such a tiny venue. well whatever i still tried. and he was right :O(. i had the oppurtunity to buy them TWICE! but each time ticketweb was all "your cart is empty". i never used ticketweb before, but im assuming that means the server was busy and it quickly sold out, and some bastards got the tix before me, somehow. ugh. so now ill check ebay everyday and probably wind up paying over 100 bucks per ticket, when they were originally 25, because i am just THAT desperate and to some, retarded, ha.
well, me and anna are off to moe's. some biotch wouldnt answer her fone cough. cough.
